We were happily surprised that it was not just one gallery but an entire compound of galleries surrounded by gardens and fountains, dotted with wrought iron chairs, tables and daybeds. Every where you turned, an installation, sculpture or painting was there to welcome you.
I just couldn't help but wish for something like this place for myself -- the cool mountain breeze, the sprawling garden with flowers and fruit-bearing tress, the white-washed galleries and teal wooden doors -- everything was just lovely. It's no wonder that a lot of couples now run for the hills as it were, to have their engagement photos taken here.
One of the hundreds of sculptures within the compound. |
Afternoon merienda at the Siraulo Cafe managed by Bizu. |
There's even a small chapel. |
One of my favorites. |
We weren't able to see all the art works -- I suspect it would take half the day to see all of them in the galleries and gardens but definitely, we will be back. :-)
